Dr. Pavlos Pandis, acquired his Diploma of Chemical Engineering (2006) and his PhD (supported by a 1st place national scholarship in Materials Science) at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He is currently an associate researcher at NTUA, NCSR “Demokritos” and NKUA and has also served as an adjunct lecturer in NKUA. He has been involved for 14 years in research projects and participated so far in six (6) EU funded programs and in three (3) national funded projects with simultaneous free lancing activities since 2014.
His research interest activities numbers 28 journal publications, 1 Book Chapter, 38 participations in international, 22 in national conferences and his expertise involves materials synthesis for energy related applications in the fields of: (i) Nanotechnology, (ii) Morphing and shaping of ceramics, (iii) Heterogeneous catalysis, (iv) Fuel cell fabrication and operation and (v) Separation membrane technology. His expertise enables the flexibility of utilizing the inorganic and/or hybrid inorganic/organic (nano)materials in energy saving/harvesting, heterogeneous catalysis, coatings and environmental-friendly technology applications.
