Dr. Christos Vaitsis has acquired a Diploma in Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His PhD dissertation was under the supervision of Professor C. Argirusis and was focused on Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) sonochemical synthesis and carbon dioxide reduction applications (supported by NTUA research committee 4-year scholarship). His scientific impact counters 7 journal publications, 6 book chapters, 11 participations in international and 5 in national conferences. His research interests include MOFs, sonochemistry, materials chemistry, crystallography, electrocatalysis, photocatalysis and CO2 reduction. He has supervised 10 postgraduate and 4 pregraduate students, regarding the synthesis of MOFs, oxides, nanoparticles, nanocomposites, applied to electrocatalysis (CO2RR, Zn-air batteries, supercapacitors) and photocatalysis (dye degradation). He is also involved in teaching activities over undergraduate and postgraduate (Materials Science and Technology) lab courses since 2016.
