Charalampia-Stamatia Kalogirou has acquired a Diploma in Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Her PhD thesis is currently under the supervision of Professor C. Argirusis and is focused on degradation of polymers by advanced oxidation processes. The research is focused on the degradation of polymers through a combination of sonochemical and photocatalytic techniques. Her scientific impact counters 1 journal publication, 3 participation in international and 1 in national conferences. Her research interests are photochemistry, sonochemistry and the quantitive spectroscopic technique XPS.
